2019 Election

#Canadavotes2019 Underway –  take action for animals!

The Writ has dropped and we are now in the midst of a Canadian Federal Election. The election will last five and a half weeks until October 21, let’s make that time work for animals.

Humane Canada has an important question for all candidates, in all regions: If elected, what will your party do to create a humane Canada for all animals?

Our Election Platform

Our name reflects our vision of “a humane Canada”, and that vision is shared by Canadians from coast-to-coast-to-coast. We believe that all animals hold intrinsic value, remarkable complexity and inherent dignity, and as such are deserving of respect and moral concern. On behalf of our members, we advocate for the humane treatment, care and protection of all animals. We promote the concept that all animals used by humans be provided with high levels of care to ensure their health and comfort and that their behavioural needs are met. We also advocate for habitat protection and enhancement for the well-being of animals in the wild.

Humane Canada created this Election Platform for #elxn43. It will help you ask the right questions, understand the issues and see a path forward during the election.
